Green Things

The summer has been keeping me pretty busy. Picnics, a trip to Florida, Yankee games and of course I am knee deep in china shards and glue ~ creating new pieces for my fall shows, the gallery and my Etsy shop too. July is just about over. I have managed to blog about pretty much nothing this month. And today I am just going to share a few pictures taken over the summer so far. All pictures of things that are green. Above is one my hostas.

These fern are growing wild at the edge of the woods in my backyard. I love the color and the lace like design of the leaves.

This mirror is called Bamboo. So many shades of green! And accents of vintage jewelry, glass gems and a mixed assortment of tile.

Hope you are having a great summer too!

Mosaics on the Road

If you have made the trip by car down the east coast via I95, then you may be familiar with South of the Border, the infamous landmark that is located just as you enter into South Carolina. This fun filled attraction has a bit of everything. Including this fantastic mosaic depiction of Pedro, the mascot of South of the Border. Chile Today, Hot Tamale!

This shell encrusted VW bug was the highlight of a visit to Shell World in Kissimme, Florida. The absolute definition of a touristy, tacky gift shop, Shell World was loaded with crafty things, chotchskies and random items that would put a Lillian Vernon catalog to shame.

If the VW wasn't enough to get you excited to go inside, this golf cart would surely do the trick. The starfish rims are hot, don't you think?
